Workspaces
A workspace is one business in Signal Sparrow. It holds that business's tracking, Stripe connection, ad destinations, and all its data — completely separate from every other workspace.
If you run more than one product, brand, or client, you don't need multiple accounts. Create a workspace for each business and switch between them from the sidebar. You pay once: a single subscription covers all the workspaces in your account.
Your primary workspace
The workspace created when you signed up is your primary workspace. It's where your subscription lives — billing, plan changes, and payment methods are always managed there. The primary workspace can be renamed but never deleted.
How many workspaces do I get?
Each plan includes a set number of workspaces — more on higher plans. If you need room beyond your plan, you can add extra workspace slots for a small monthly fee each, billed on your existing subscription. See the pricing page for current limits and prices.
Creating a workspace
- Click the workspace switcher at the top of the sidebar.
- Choose Create workspace and enter the business's name and website.
- The new workspace opens straight into onboarding — set up its tracking domain, install the snippet, and connect its own Stripe account and destinations.
New workspaces start completely empty. Nothing is copied over, so a client's data can never mix with another's.
Only Owners of the primary workspace can create and manage workspaces, because each new workspace uses a slot on the account's plan.
Switching between workspaces
Use the switcher at the top of the sidebar — every dashboard, setting, and report instantly reflects the workspace you're in. Each workspace keeps its own data, so there's no risk of looking at the wrong business's numbers.
One subscription, shared limits
Billing works at the account level, not per workspace:
- One bill. The primary workspace's subscription covers every workspace.
- Seats are pooled. A teammate who belongs to three of your workspaces uses one seat, not three.
- Events are summed. Your plan's monthly events allowance covers all workspaces together.
Teammates are invited per workspace, so a client's team only ever sees that client's workspace.
Managing workspaces
Go to Settings → Workspaces to see every workspace in your account with its members and event volume this period. From there, primary-workspace Owners can:
- Rename any workspace.
- Delete a workspace (you'll type its name to confirm). Deleting frees up its slot and its teammates' seats.
- Add or remove extra workspace slots on your subscription.
If you move to a smaller plan, your workspace count has to fit the new plan's limit first — Signal Sparrow will tell you exactly what to remove before the change goes through. Nothing is ever deleted automatically.
